I'm Jo, the photographer behind Little Wild Ones.

I've been a professional photographer for 18 years, and I genuinely still love what I do.

Photographing families through pregnancy, those first newborn days and the years that follow is a privilege I never take for granted.

These stages are fleeting, and my approach is to capture them honestly and beautifully, with photographs that feel natural, timeless and true to you.

A little about me

I'm married and a mum of two teenagers, so I know just how quickly these years pass. That perspective is a big part of why I value photographs that preserve not just how your children looked, but how this stage of family life felt.

Originally from England, I've lived in New Zealand for more than 25 years and proudly call Auckland home.

18 years behind the camera

Alongside Little Wild Ones, I work commercially through my photography studio, Jo Walker Studio, photographing baby and child brands.

That experience has shaped the way I approach every session, bringing a strong eye for light, composition and detail while keeping the experience relaxed and personal.

Natural. Gently guided.

You don't need to know how to pose. I'll guide you through the session while giving you space to move, play and connect naturally.
