What to expect

My maternity sessions are all about celebrating just how amazing you are.

Please don't feel anxious about the thought of being in front of the camera, my natural way of taking photos will soon have you feeling relaxed, and I'll talk you through everything when you arrive.

The session takes between 45min - 1 hour.

Client Wardrobe

As part of every session you are welcome to choose a gown from my client wardrobe. As you have booked a studio session there's no limit to changes during the shoot, you can try as many as you like. To see examples of the gowns please click HERE

Studio Directions

9 Awaruku Road, Torbay

My cosy home studio is designed for newborn, maternity and sitters sessions, and is located at the front of my house with seperate access, so it's nice and private.

When you arrive at the studio, you can park on the drive way or on the road, and head to the top of the driveway you will see the entrance in to my studio on your left.

ADD ON A NATIVE BUSH SHOOT

New to 2024! I'm very lucky that my studio backs on to a stunning reserve full of native trees, so I am now offering the forest as an add on option to any maternity studio session. There is no extra cost for this, we just split your shoot evenly between the studio and the reserve. No need to book this in, just let me know when you arrive.

FAQ

Can we bring extended family?

My studio is the perfect size for 2 adults, so sadly I cannot accommodate extended family.

Can my partner be in the photos?

Of course! As well as the solo photos of you I will also get some with your partner and any other little ones you already have.

WHEN WILL THE PICTURES BE READY?

The final images are carefully edited and then uploaded to your own private gallery within a week. From there you can select which digitals you would like based upon the package you choose, there will be options to upgrade if you want.

How many gowns can I try on?

Normally at an outdoor session you are limited to one change in the session, but in the studio you can wear as many as you like.
Please remember to wear white or nude underwear for the white gowns.

I want to bring my own dress

No problems, you don't have to wear something from the client wardrobe! Or you can mix and match - half the shoot in your own outfit and the second half in something from the client wardrobe - it's your choice! If you want to wear your own outfit and need advice on colour tones, just let me know. I normally recommend anything natural (whites, creams) or earthy tones (olive, rust, browns, etc).

Can we add on any outside shots?

Behind my home is a beautiful native reserve, so if you would like to head out for a few shots at the end of the session in the bush, just let me know when you arrive.
